Creating and using Practice Captures is not so much about Quantified Self ideals, but it's an attempt to bring structure to my Habits-forming. I haven't applied any rigour to this thought, it's simply the idea that keeping checklists helps until it's intuitive, and to ensure I have a long term progression in a basic skill which is likely a regular part of my "life structure". Some of them are Chores and some of them are about getting better at a skill.
Collecting some level of Quantified Self data is useful, but I am not in the stage to build processing tools, mostly because I don't have any questions I want to answer. Hand-Crafted Tools aide answering Hand-crafted Questions, but without those questions, it's just ideation and wasting time on cute demos.
I use org-capture to quickly create pages from templates which are used for tracking progress on a Goal or Hypergoal. These are generated dynamically using a system I cobbled together, which I don't recommend using, called defdaily, and I probably should migrate to using org-roam's capture templates and maybe dailies... i like weeklies so much lol
